Packaging Operator I - 12 Hr Day Shift (7a-7p)Operative Packaging Greenville, SC, US
Job Summary:
Leads and performs a variety of process duties according to batch record and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in the pharmaceutical manufacturing department, but not limited to, operating machines, and assisting in the packaging of products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows all policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
- Able to operate and/or learn how to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment:
Cazzoli, Cobot, Combi, Unit Dose Fillers, Packaging Lines. - Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are completed correctly and currently.
- Adheres to company uniform and gowning policies.
- Reports process or equipment problems to area supervision.
- Performs changeovers and set-up of equipment for processing operations.
- Possesses mechanical aptitude and/or ability for basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Cleans and maintains packaging rooms and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all Company safety rules and regulations.
- Appropriately utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to speak and read in English.
- Ability to perform basic Math computations.
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with others.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Manufacturing processes and equipment procedures.
- 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or food manufacturing
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
- Familiarity with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of SOP’s, equipment and safety practices.

Working Conditions:
Employees in this position are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, vision monitoring, lifting equipment or materials up to 30 pounds.
