What impact you’ll makeAs a member of the Process Industrialization team, you will be an active contributor to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role executes steps to move process from development to production; driving the hand‑off process, post‑deployment support, and problem solving to finish the industrialization of a process into full production.
Focus is on meeting the needs of the production teams as internal customers.
- Utilize in‑depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute team demands and roadmap initiatives
- Execute hand‑offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run‑off of initial production sets
- Execute hands‑on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand‑off to the production team
- Support project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and problem solving
- Support problem solving post‑deployment
- Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste
- Engineer, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes
- Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness
- Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
- Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent manufacturing or process development experience
- Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment OR MIT graduates with a minimum of 2 years in Production Process & Equipment via academic or professional / internship experiences
- Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated project management experience (PMP certification)
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Deep manufacturing technical expertise
- Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC Garlington Road location
