Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54‑bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy.
The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Position
Hours:
7pm – 7am, three nights per week, rotating weekends.
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and training in the appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De‑escalation before unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
