Schedule:
Night shift — option to sign for 4x12s 1900–0730 with no call, or 3x12s 1900–0730 with call. If 3x12s: call requirement of at least 1, 12-hour call shift bi-weekly. Weekend coverage every other weekend unless need changes. - Work Authorization:

This is a NICU travel nursing assignment requiring an experienced registered nurse comfortable caring for critically ill neonates from 22 weeks gestation and greater. The role involves float coverage to other NICU units or facilities as needed, and candidates must have at least 2 years of NICU experience. No first-time travelers will be accepted at this time.
Key Responsibilities- Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed.
- Provide weekend coverage every other weekend unless scheduling needs change.
- Operate and manage specialized NICU equipment including Arctic Sun, Blanket roll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips central, B Braun feeding pumps, Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy.
- Document patient care using EPIC (must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience).
- Utilize Pyxis/Omnicell unit systems for medication management.
- Care for patients with the following diagnoses: abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP.
- Assist with or support special procedures including Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery.
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required.
- At least 1 year of EPIC documentation system experience required.
- Proficiency with Pyxis/Omnicell unit systems.
- Experience with neonates 22 weeks gestation and greater.
- Familiarity with patient diagnoses including abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP.
- Experience with special procedures:
Full Body Cooling, Chest Tubes, surgical repair of anomalies (non-cardiac), Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery. - Experience with specialized equipment:

- BLS certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- STABLE certification required.
- South Carolina (SC) RN license required.
- At least 2 years of experience in NICU required.
- At least 1 year of EPIC experience required.
