American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU II/III position requiring a SC or compact license, EPIC experience, and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work within a Level II/III NICU caring for neonates 22 weeks gestation and older
• Night shift 4x12 ) with no call, or 3x12 with at least one 12-hour call shift biweekly
• Every other weekend coverage required unless census needs change
• Floating to other NICU units or Prisma Health facilities required as needed
• Utilizes Pyxis/Omnicell medication systems and EPIC for documentation
• Cares for patients with diagnoses including HIE, RDS, sepsis, congenital anomalies, and drug withdrawal
• Performs special procedures such as full body cooling, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and laser eye surgery with Avastin administration
• Uses specialized equipment including Artic Sun, jet and oscillator ventilators, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, and dual incubators

• Active SC RN license or compact license required
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU II/III experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Proficient in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, UAC/UVC care, and administration of blood products
• Skilled in neonatal dosage calculations, conscious sedation, and vasopressor administration

• Provide advanced neonatal intensive care to infants with complex medical and surgical needs
• Support developmental care practices and family education for NICU patients
• Attend mandatory orientation held every Monday along with annual Prisma Health compliance training
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses expected based on census needs
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to maintain full eligibility, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
