Registered Nurse – NICU

Greenville, SC | NICU (Level II & III)

Contract | Night Shift | Option 1: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with no call. Option 2: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with a call requirement of at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly. Every other weekend coverage expected.

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and above, managing diagnoses including HIE, RDS, sepsis, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, abdominal wall defects, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, myelomeningocele, and ROP
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures including Full Body Cooling, Chest Tube management, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, laser eye surgery support, and surgical repair of anomalies (excluding cardiac)
• Operate specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Atom and GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant Warmers, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, and External Shunt/Ostomy management
• Document accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR
• Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated time frames

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, with required experience in both NICU Level II and Level III
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from all system facilities to be fully eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced rate (night shift exception applies); candidates under 50 miles from the contracted campus are ineligible

• Familiarity with Pyxis or Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Experience with high-acuity neonatal procedures and advanced ventilator management

• Work in a high-acuity NICU environment offering exposure to a broad range of complex neonatal diagnoses and specialized procedures
• Pre-assignment orientation modules may be reimbursable for up to 16 hours of completed time
