American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a 32-bed unit, requiring 2 years of specialty experience and SC or compact RN license.

• 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit providing continuous nursing care and telemetry monitoring on a 24-hour basis
• Focus on Heart Failure and other cardiovascular patient populations, including inpatient management and post-hospitalization care coordination
• Continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
• Administration of IV and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
• Preparation and transport of patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours,
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on facility need
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs

• Active SC or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry specialty required
• 3 years of specialty experience required for first-time travelers
• 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required

• Provide holistic nursing care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families
• Skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac drips (no titration), heparin protocols, and PCA management preferred
• Experience with pacemakers, post-cardiac catheterization, and pre/post cardiac surgery care preferred
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and required modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers considered with 3 years of specialty experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel pay rate, with reduced rate available at 90-99.9 miles
