Greenville Recreation and Parks Department is currently recruiting Park Attendants at Wildwood Park to collect fees, provide public information, patrol the park to enforce rules and regulations, implement outdoor recreation and environmental education programs, and complete outdoor work around park grounds.

Park Attendants will perform maintenance tasks at park facilities and on trails including litter and trash pickup, cleaning restrooms and shelters, and maintaining an organized office space inside the Wildwood Park Welcome Center.

Opportunities to lead, develop, and assist with programs at Wildwood Park are possible. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience leading outdoor recreation and environmental education programs.

Minimum Age

17 years old (at the time of application)

Hours
  • Wildwood Park is currently open every day from sunrise to sunset. Weekend shifts vary in length depending on the season, and weekday shifts in the summer are during evening hours.
  • Attendants work a schedule of 5-40 hours a week, including weekends and some holidays.
Requirements
  • Applicants should be comfortable around the water and watercraft, working outside in all weather conditions, and interacting with the public.
  • Park Attendants may occasionally be required to perform similar duties at River Park North.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license issued by N.C. or another state.
  • Valid CPR, First Aid/AED certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
  • Complete transactions and make reservations;
  • Interact with customers;
  • Answer the telephone and provide the public with needed information;
  • Collect trash, trail maintenance, and maintain the cleanliness of the Welcome Center and bathrooms;
  • Assist with programs and tours;
  • Patrol the park to enforce rules and regulations;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid/AED certifications are required prior to the start of camp.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license issued by N.C. or another state.
