Spinx Market Associate FT (501) (Finance) Job Summary

The Market Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service, efficient store operations, and adherence to company policies. This position involves handling various tasks including customer service, store stocking and cleaning, assisting customers, checking in vendors, food prep, and maintaining a positive attitude at all times. Additionally, the Market Associate may be required to serve alcohol, for which appropriate training will be provided.

This role also entails responsibility for cash handling, inventory management, and strict adherence to company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report for scheduled shifts on time and in proper uniform with a clean, professional appearance. Adhere to the Company's Personal Appearance Policy.
  • Perform all assigned tasks and functions in such a way to keep your work environment, associates and customers safe. Follow all safety policies and procedures while reporting any customer or employee accidents, unsafe conditions, or hazards to your Market Manager.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Perform day-to-day tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the store.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and providing recommendations, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Check‑in vendors, verify deliveries, and ensure proper stocking of inventory.
  • Prepare food items following established guidelines, including handling ingredients, cooking, packaging, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor while interacting with customers, colleagues, and vendors, promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
  • If required, complete appropriate training to serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to all legal regulations and company policies.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and maintain proper cash register procedures, ensuring accountability and security.
  • Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock checks, restocking shelves, and reporting discrepancies or shortages.
