As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and armed guard card or license.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established post orders.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.

+ Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.

+ Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
