Aircraft Interior Mechanic – Contract Opportunity
Location: Charleston, SC
Contract Term: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
Pay Rate: $36–$40/hr (Based on Experience)

This contract role supports aircraft interior installation, repair, and refurbishment activities within a large commercial aviation production environment. The Aircraft Interior Mechanic will work hands‑on with interior components such as seating, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, overhead bins, flooring, and monuments. Candidates must have strong aircraft interiors experience and be eligible to obtain required site access credentials.
Note: Candidates currently working onsite under another contract provider are not eligible. If previously employed at this site, departure details may be required prior to submission.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, remove, and refurbish aircraft interior components including seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, overhead bins, and monuments.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals to complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Perform laminate repairs, upholstery touch‑ups, and cosmetic interior finishing.
- Safely remove, reinstall, and adjust interior panels and furnishings.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with FAA, OEM, and internal quality standards.
- Document all completed work in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- 5+ years of hands‑on aircraft interior installation, repair, or rework experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Eligibility to obtain required site access credentials.
- Familiarity with QMS and/or Velocity systems.
- Experience in laminate repair, upholstery, or cosmetic interior finishing.
