Software Engineer
The Need: Our client is looking for a qualified full‑time Senior Integration Software Engineer with manufacturing systems experience to help facilitate both the ongoing support of existing manufacturing systems as well as system upgrades and integration for new systems.
This support is needed starting immediately and does not have a planned end date. The position will be re‑assessed on a regular basis.
Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite)
Contract: LTC – Initial 1‑Year term with right to extend. CTH is not currently in scope or this position.
Work Status: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen preferred or permanent resident Green Card)
Day‑to‑DayJob Responsibilities
- Development or modification of manufacturing middleware
- Support related to software and interfacing with key users using Service Now
- Daily team stand‑ups using Agile and Gitlab for software management
- Collaboration with key individuals and team lead
- Documentation of processes, installation, and release notes
- Work with Site Reliability Engineer on observability of middleware/software
- Education and Experience
- Degree:
Computer Science background or equivalent experience - Experience:
5–7+ years overall - Setting: 2+ years in a production manufacturing or large industrial setting

SQL and Oracle – must understand relational databases - Infrastructure:
Command of Windows/Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD)

Operate natively within Agile/Scrum principles - Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required to support collaboration across domestic and international teams. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
- Normal work hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday. Occasional shifts may be required for project installations and start‑ups requiring weekend or holiday coverage
- Overtime work may be approved as needed but will not be typical
- Work schedules will vary based on project need and assignment
- Up to 30% travel over a 12‑month period
- Maximum 5–6 trips per year and up to 2 international trips (France, Brazil, Canada, Mexico); the rest is domestic
- Projected breakdown
- 80% are 1‑week trips
- 10%–20% are 2‑week trips
- 3‑week trips should be avoided if possible
- Occasional emergency travel (corporate jet) once per year, if at all
- Vast majority of travel is given a 3 to 8‑month notice
- Work around PTO/vacations
Internal users at 26 production manufacturing sites in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Group SizeThe integration team consists of 11 people: 1 Manager, 1 Team Lead, 1 Architect, 6 Developers, and 1 Site Reliability Engineer.
Technical EnvironmentCurrently these systems are predominantly Windows Servers running .NET Framework applications in C#, with UI in legacy ASP.Net or WPF with back‑end Oracle Database. They are deployed on VMware ESXi clusters on‑premise in data centres. The model is moving towards a micro‑service architecture using containers on Kubernetes (K8) with .NET Core, UI in Blazor, and Postgre
SQL on VMware Tanzu.
