Senior COBOL Developer; Tandem

Contract-to-hire Sr Programmer Analyst (Tandem) opening for an enterprise organization in Columbus, OH. In this role you ll join a collaborative team working on stable, impactful systems. Must have Tandem experience to be considered for this position.

This is a Hybrid position in Columbus, OH.

• Design and develop COBOL programs for batch and online systems.
• Modify existing code to meet user requests and business needs.
• Collaborate with project requestors to understand requirements and review outcomes.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
• Recommend improvements to development processes or tools.
• Troubleshoot data balancing and integration issues.

• 5+ years of COBOL programming experience.
• Skilled in both batch and online systems, including SCOBOL.
• Proficient with Tandem utilities and structured code development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable managing your own development tasks independently.
