POSITION SUMMARY: The student employee will be a contributor in providing software solutions, including design, code and testing, for a variety of academic and non-academic application systems.
Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy students only
Responsibilities- Plays an active role in the design, development and support of various software applications used by business units at Bob Jones University and BJU Press.
- Writes program specifications as needed from business requirements as well as converts designs and specifications into computer code.
- Working knowledge of database structures and relationships
- Working knowledge of object-oriented software technology
- Understanding of the University's goals and objectives
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Logical and organized documentation skills
- Problem solving and adaptability skills
- Ability to work well with others
Work must happen between 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday, but is flexible with class schedules. The student is expected to work three 2+ hour work periods per week at a minimum. Summer employment of 40 hours a week is expected. Housing is available, if needed (Bob Jones University students only).
