Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing inbound and outbound material movements, inventory transactions, shipping documentation, receiving activities, warehouse support, inventory accuracy, and logistics-related administrative functions. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant movement of materials while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting operational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Receive inbound materials, inspect for damage, verify quantities, and

  • Prepare shipping paperwork including bills of lading, packing lists, and carrier documentation.
  • Perform ERP/system receiving, inventory movements, material transfers, and data entry.
  • Monitor purchase orders and inventory transactions for accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory activities.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling and bin location control.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory audits and maintain required documentation.
  • Support warehouse operations including material staging, storage, and organization.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor equipment condition and support preventive maintenance requirements.

    Collaborate with Scheduling, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service teams to resolve issues.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance inventory control, productivity, and service levels.
  • Maintain quality standards and comply with all procedures, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Numerical aptitude and ability to analyze inventory data.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics operations.
  • Working knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and production support processes preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
