Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Staff Accountant I – Greenville, SC – Southern Tide LLC. Perform a broad range of accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting records for general and cost systems, payroll taxes, sales commissions, import duties, inventory, and related paperwork systems. Conduct month‑end closing for retail, wholesale, manufacturing and distribution operating groups.

• Establish and maintain accounting records for general and cost systems.
• Process payroll taxes, sales commission statements, and import duty calculations.
• Prepare and reconcile inventory, prepaids, and accruals.
• Receive and reconcile incoming inventory receipts.
• Process miscellaneous accounts payable transactions.
• Handle accounts receivable duties at the brand level, collaborating with the Oxford Credit department.
• Communicate with the Oxford controllership team on accounting issues.
• Monitor credit card activity and perform monthly accruals and payments.
• Analyze variances and trends on financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for account analysis and reconciliation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting or related experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities.
