Charlotte-based general contractor is hiring a director or construction to oversee the Upstate Asheville markets.

• Base compensation up to $230K
• Company vehicle with fuel card

A Director of Construction oversees all aspects of a construction project, from planning to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards. They manage teams, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, acting as a leader in the construction process.

• Planning and Execution: Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they align with company standards and project goals.
• Team Management: Manages and coordinates project teams, including hiring, training, and motivating staff.
• Budget and Schedule Management: Develops and manages project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Risk Management: Analyzes, manages, and mitigates risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communication: Provides project updates to clients, contractors, and senior management.
• Compliance: Ensures adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
• Construction Knowledge: Possesses in-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Contract Management: Reviews and manages contracts, ensuring compliance and effective vendor selection.
• Quality Control: Monitors and ensures the quality of work meets project specifications and standards.
• Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves issues that may arise during the project.
