The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina area, responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day field operations on commercial construction projects. This role coordinates and supervises subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Superintendent manages daily site activities, including organizing work sequences, monitoring progress, resolving field issues, and communicating regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors.

Duties include enforcing safety protocols, maintaining site documentation and logs, conducting inspections, and assisting with scheduling, materials deliveries, and resource allocation. The role requires consistent presence on the job site, proactive problem‑solving, and strong leadership to support project success from groundbreaking through final completion.

• Experience supervising commercial construction projects, with strong skills in field coordination, scheduling, and site management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, and to ensure accurate implementation in the field.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations, with a proven track record of promoting and enforcing safe work practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to direct subcontractors, collaborate with project managers, and maintain professional client and inspector relationships.
• Proficiency in basic construction‑related software and tools (e.g., project management platforms, digital plans, email, and documentation systems).
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem‑solving, quality control, and time and cost management on active job sites.
• Several years of experience in commercial construction supervision or a closely related role; experience in design‑build environments is preferred.
• Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a skilled trade; industry certifications (e.g., OSHA, safety training) are a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site daily in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina area and to adapt to changing project needs.
