Work Schedule: 226 Days
Reports to:
Deputy Superintendent of Administration
Greenville ISD is seeking a dynamic and visionary Secondary Principal to lead campus operations and instructional programs. The Principal is responsible for fostering a culture of high expectations, academic achievement, and positive student outcomes while ensuring effective campus management and compliance with district and state requirements.
Primary PurposeProvide instructional leadership, campus management, and strategic direction to ensure student success in alignment with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, district goals, and campus expectations.
Qualifications Education / Certification- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Principal certification
- Knowledge of secondary curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to analyze data and drive instructional improvement
- Knowledge of student discipline, behavior management, and Student Code of Conduct
- Strong communication and community engagement skills
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience required
- Campus leadership experience required
- Secondary campus leadership experience preferred
- Lead the implementation of curriculum and instructional programs aligned with TEKS and district goals
- Monitor student performance data and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Oversee teacher evaluation, coaching, and professional growth
- Direct daily campus operations, including scheduling, supervision, and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with district policies, TEA regulations, and UIL requirements (if applicable)
- Manage campus budget, resources, and facilities
- Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and positive campus environment
- Oversee student discipline and implementation of behavior expectations
- Promote student engagement, accountability, and success
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate campus staff
- Foster a collaborative and professional learning culture
- Support staff development and leadership growth
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders
- Promote positive relationships between the school and community
- Represent the campus at district and community events
- Participate in district leadership meetings and professional development
- Support district initiatives and strategic goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Frequent standing, walking, and campus supervision
- Work indoors and outdoors as needed
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-level responsibilities
- Maintain emotional control and leadership under pressure
- Lead a secondary campus focused on academic excellence
- Work with a strong district leadership team
