Principal (Elementary)

Deputy Superintendent of Administration
Greenville ISD is seeking a collaborative and student‑centered Elementary Principal to lead campus operations and instructional programs. The Principal is responsible for creating a positive, structured learning environment that supports student growth and early academic success.
Primary PurposeProvide instructional leadership, campus management, and strategic direction to ensure student success in alignment with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, district goals, and campus expectations.
Qualifications Education / Certification:- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Principal certification
Skills:
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze student data and support instructional improvement
- Knowledge of student development and behavior management
- Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and families
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience required
- Campus leadership experience required
- Elementary leadership experience preferred
- Lead implementation of curriculum and instructional programs aligned with TEKS and district goals
- Monitor student achievement and support continuous academic improvement
- Oversee teacher evaluation, coaching, and professional development
- Direct daily campus operations, including scheduling, supervision, and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with district policies and TEA requirements
- Manage campus resources, budget, and facilities
- Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Promote student engagement, behavior expectations, and character development
- Support student success academically and socially
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate campus staff
- Foster a collaborative and supportive campus culture
- Support staff growth and instructional effectiveness
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community stakeholders
- Promote family engagement and community involvement
- Represent the campus at district and community events
- Participate in district leadership meetings and professional development
- Support district initiatives and strategic goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Frequent standing, walking, and supervision of campus activities
- Work indoors and outdoors as needed
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain emotional control
- Ability to lead effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Lead an elementary campus focused on student growth and success
- Work in a collaborative and supportive district
