Elementary Instructional Aide Greenville Independent School District
Work Schedule:
187 Days
Greenville ISD is seeking dependable and student-focused Elementary Instructional Aides to support classroom instruction and daily campus operations. This position assists teachers in creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment that supports student success.
Primary PurposeAssist the classroom teacher with instructional support, classroom management, and administrative tasks to promote student learning and achievement in accordance with district and campus expectations.
Qualifications Education and Certification- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain a Texas Educational Aide Certificate (certification may be obtained through the District)
- Completion of the Para Skills Course through STEDI.org (course will be purchased by the District)
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively with staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and classroom activities
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce academic skills
- Support classroom routines, centers, and instructional activities
- Assist with administering and scoring assignments or assessments as directed
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal as assigned
- Reinforce classroom expectations and positive behavior
- Communicate student concerns or needs to the teacher
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Assist with copying, filing, and organizing instructional materials
- Provide support to substitute teachers as needed
- Participate in staff development and campus meetings as assigned
- Support campus events and activities as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and light lifting of classroom materials
- Ability to maintain patience and emotional control in a busy elementary environment
- Support student success and learning every day
- Work in a collaborative, student-centered district
