A well-established commercial and industrial contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support operations across the southeastern United States. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and profitable cost estimates for painting, coatings, and maintenance projects, while partnering closely with operations, sales, and project management teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong estimating fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and hands‑on knowledge of commercial painting scopes, surface preparation methods, coatings systems, and field production rates.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial painting, coatings, and maintenance projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and site visits
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs
• Review bid documents and project requirements to identify risks, exclusions, and assumptions
• Develop pricing strategies aligned with production capabilities and market conditions
• Coordinate with operations, project managers, and field leadership to validate labor assumptions and productivity rates
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and project evaluations
• Support bid handoffs to project teams to ensure smooth transitions from estimating to execution
• Assist with change order pricing and scope adjustments as projects evolve

• 4+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within commercial or industrial painting, coatings, or specialty contracting
• Experience in civil construction (sitework, utilities, infrastructure, or water/wastewater) preferred
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or similar platforms)
• Experience working with general contractors, property managers, or institutional clients
