Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist – Mission Systems to join our Greenville, TX team. This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of Operator Workstation capabilities across multiple platforms and programs. The role involves issue investigation and resolution, submitting bids and proposals, and documenting status and issues in Jira/Confluence.
- Work with customer, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.
- Test and troubleshoot Operator Interfaces on various platforms and programs.
- Communicate effectively with software developers to explain requirements and use cases when needed.
- Be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 12 months.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience.
- Graduate degree and a minimum 4 years of prior systems engineering experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of prior systems engineering experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
- Demonstrated systems or software engineering experience as a subject matter expert working with operator interfaces.
- Demonstrated knowledge writing capability/product requirement specifications.
- IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool
- JIRA/Confluence and the Agile process
- Experience with RC-135 operator interfaces
- Security+ certification
