The Sr. Associate, Material Process Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design and production efforts relating to electrical processes for the modification of military and FAA certified aircraft.
Essential Functions- Review engineering drawings to identify the appropriate processes required to meet overall design criteria for the aircraft.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Customer, Program Office Personnel, and applicable suppliers during the design, procurement, fabrication, and aircraft installation process to address and resolve electrical material and process issues.
- Maintain company electrical process documentation (e.g., Technical Process Specifications).
- Write Technical Process Specifications (TPSs), Engineering Reports and other technical documentation related to electrical material and process efforts.
- Perform research, evaluation and associated support for electrical processes and materials.
- Working knowledge with Siemens Teamcenter PLM software, and SAP.
- Familiar with electrical military and industry aerospace standards and specifications.
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical materials and processes (wiring harness assembly and installation, bonding and grounding, antenna installation, soldering, etc.).
- General familiarity of multi‑wire, fiber optic, ethernet and RF cable terminations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings, including electrical wiring diagrams.
- Capable of physically accessing the interior and exterior of various aircraft platforms.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree with two (2) years of electrical parts and processes experience in aerospace/aircraft industry.
- Graduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of electrical parts and processes experience in aerospace/aircraft industry.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of six (6) years of electrical parts and processes experience in aerospace/aircraft industry.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Secret DoD Clearance.
- Experience in aircraft mechanical/electrical/materials and processes engineering.
