Analyst, Payroll; Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day‑to‑day processing of U.S. payroll operations for a large organization with 129 pay groups across multiple frequencies (weekly, bi‑weekly and semi‑monthly).
• Review and ensure payroll activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Work closely with payroll vendors to ensure all desktop procedures are updated and approved.
• Coordinate test payrolls with ADP, participate in testing, review the outcome, and troubleshoot issues.
• Review, audit and analyze data inputs including salary adjustments, bonuses, special calculations, and deductions to minimize data errors, identify anomalies, and resolve root causes.
• Support various payroll initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, process improvements, key projects, and audits.
• Partner with RTX departments to research and resolve complex pay issues, recommend and implement mitigation efforts to prevent recurrence.
• Generate reports to provide weekly payroll counts.
• Support the ongoing alignment of RTX payroll practices and governance standards.
• Track annual payroll calendars and payroll schedules to guarantee compliance with deadlines.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Payroll experience preferably gained in a large corporation or outsourced/BPO environment.
• Direct exposure to ADP Enterprise, Workday, Global view, or other enterprise payroll systems.

• Strong analytical and systems analysis skills with knowledge of high‑tech pay modeling tools and databases.
• Proven expertise in problem solving, analysis, and issue resolution.
• Strong professional and interpersonal skills, including tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office, proficiency in MS Excel, and data management systems to handle high‑volume employee data.
• Self‑starter able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative cross‑functional team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of tax withholding, voluntary deductions, and payroll processing.
• Experience in an active, advanced customer‑service environment; preferably in payroll, customer care, or benefits related industry.
• Prior experience with or knowledge of process improvement methodologies.

• Salary range: 57,200 USD – 108,800 USD (good faith estimate).
