The Government Property specialist is responsible for ensuring that government property is managed in accordance with FAR/DFAR Regulations and support annual DCMA Audits.
Essential Functions- Actively manage the property management system to the ten government property management outcomes (including embedded outcomes) identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically FAR 45 and 52.245-1
- Partner with L3H Contracts and PMO to ensure the timely reporting and disposition of all residual property upon contract closure.
- Routinely review process and procedures for accuracy, applicability and identify areas for increased efficeincy/improvement.
- Generate government property scheduled and ad‑hoc reports.
- Review FAR/DFAR clause within contracts to determine any issues/concerns that would affect compliance.
- Support annual DCMA Property Management System Assessment.
- Perform annual Contractor Self‑Self Assessment.
- Perform all basic property related activities related to Government Property Management.
- Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in supply chain/logistics, property management, or a related field.
- National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification.
- SAP Material Management Experience.
- Familiarity with US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations.
