Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist – Mission Systems to join our Greenville, TX team. This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of Operator Workstation capabilities across multiple platforms and programs. Responsibilities include issue investigation and resolution, submitting bids and proposals, and documenting status and issues in Jira/Confluence.
- Systems or Software Engineering experience as a Subject Matter Expert working with Operator Interfaces.
- Demonstrated knowledge with ability to write capability/product requirement specifications.
- Work with customer, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.
- Test and troubleshoot Operator Interfaces on various platforms and programs.
- Engage with software developers to explain requirements and use cases when needed.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance to be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum 2 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with internal/external stakeholders, up to and including customer and/or executives.
- Demonstrated experience working through an entire build cycle.
- Demonstrated understanding of the systems engineering life cycle.
- CompTIA Security+ (current or able to obtain within 12 months of start date).
- Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence and the Agile process.
- Hands‑on experience with RC‑135 Operator Interfaces.
- Current Security+ Certification.
