Senior Analytics Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a growing analytics organization focused on building scalable, enterprise‑grade data solutions that support decision‑making across Sales, Finance, and Operations. This individual will play a key role in transforming complex business data into actionable insights that improve operational efficiency, forecasting accuracy, profitability, and strategic planning across the organization.

This role is highly focused on modern data engineering and analytics practices, including the design and optimization of scalable data pipelines, development of analytical frameworks, and delivery of reporting solutions that support the full business lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on experience with Databricks, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT development, and enterprise reporting platforms, along with the ability to partner closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The Senior Analytics Engineer will collaborate with business analysts, BI teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to define KPIs, develop reliable data products, improve data quality, and embed analytics into core operational processes. This individual will also serve as a technical mentor within the analytics function and help drive best practices around governance, workflow optimization, and analytical maturity.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytical frameworks across financial, operational, logistics, and sales domains
• Build and maintain modern ETL/ELT workflows integrating data from internal and third‑party systems via APIs and automated ingestion methods
• Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, Python scripts, and Spark‑based transformations for large‑scale data processing and analytics
• Own and manage Databricks workflows, including notebooks, Delta Lake architecture, Spark SQL development, and job orchestration
• Build and enhance enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms
• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and analytical solutions that support strategic initiatives and operational execution
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high‑performing data solutions
• Establish and maintain data quality standards, governance practices, and documentation across reporting and analytics environments
• Support data modeling initiatives including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and enterprise reporting structures
• Mentor junior and mid‑level analysts and contribute to overall analytics best practices and team development
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and analytical capabilities
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives related to analytics infrastructure and reporting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or related technical roles
• Strong experience working with modern cloud‑based data platforms and analytics ecosystems
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks, including Spark SQL, Delta Lake, notebooks, and workflow orchestration
• Advanced SQL and Python development experience for analytics and data engineering use cases
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion workflows
• Experience working with APIs and integrating data from multiple internal and external data sources
• Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schema design
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices
• Experience working with financial, operational, sales, or supply chain datasets in enterprise environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

• Experience working within enterprise‑scale analytics or data engineering environments
• Exposure to cloud‑based analytics platforms and distributed data processing technologies
• Experience supporting operational reporting, forecasting, inventory, or revenue analytics initiatives
• Prior experience mentoring analysts or contributing to technical leadership initiatives
• Experience establishing data governance standards and reporting best practices
