Responsibilities
  • Planning, managing, and reporting on the documentation created to fulfill customer configuration and data requirements.
  • Perform detailed drawing and documentation review and interface with programs across departments (Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Subcontracts, Quality, and others) concerning initial release and formal changes to documentation.
  • Establish configuration and data management processes and hold the program accountable to them.
  • Reviewing and approving/rejecting all formal program documentation, coordinating with contracts organizations, security, and customers regarding new or changing requirements, and coordinating deliveries with program teams.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for program technical data, ensuring content creators follow data identification, marking, review and release procedures.
  • Proactively identifying data errors and ensuring accuracy.
  • Implementing data control methodologies to prevent process or system issues and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensuring identification, definition, implementation, release and maintenance of data items and SDRL/CDRL schedules match program requirements.
  • Enforcing the protection of Intellectual Property.
  • Providing guidance on engineering methods to documentation creators.
  • Creating Configuration Status Accounting reports for the program.
  • Performing Pre-Testing and Pre-Delivery Audits, including FCAs/PCAs if required by the contract.
  • Facilitating a program-level Configuration Control Board as required.
  • Familiarity with data marking, formatting, and handling of documentation.
  • Multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate orally and in written form.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented self-starter.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of Configuration and/or Data Management experience.
  • Graduate Degree with two (2) years of Configuration and/or Data Management experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of Configuration and/or Data Management experience.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
