A growing technology-driven organization is seeking a Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, governance, and operational excellence of its cloud infrastructure and platform engineering function.

This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, Dev Ops, platform engineering, automation, and AI-enabled software delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving cloud modernization, improving developer productivity, enhancing platform reliability, and implementing scalable solutions that support enterprise-wide technology initiatives.

This is a highly visible leadership position that partners closely with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Business leaders while helping shape the future of a cloud-first, AI-enabled technology organization.

What You'll Do
  • Lead a team of AWS Architects, Dev Ops Engineers, SREs, and Platform Engineers responsible for cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform operations.
  • Own the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of a large-scale AWS cloud environment.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, Git Ops, CI/CD, and platform engineering best practices across the organization.
  • Design and enhance an Internal Developer Platform that improves developer productivity through self-service capabilities, reusable frameworks, and standardized engineering practices.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Security, Networking, and Operations teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
  • Lead cloud optimization initiatives focused on scalability, resiliency, security, performance, and cost management.
  • Champion automation across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and introduce AI-enabled engineering practices.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response standards across cloud and application environments.
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve platform reliability, operational efficiency, and developer experience.
  • Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor on cloud architecture, Dev Ops, platform engineering, and modernization initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of experience owning and operating AWS cloud environments supporting enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience with AWS architecture, cloud governance, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience implementing Terraform and/or Cloud Formation, CI/CD pipelines, Git Hub Enterprise, Git Hub Actions, and Git Ops methodologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, authentication, compliance, and enterprise cloud operations.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools and a passion for leveraging AI to improve software delivery and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
