A well-established industrial General Contractor is seeking a Superintendent to lead ground‑up and renovation projects across manufacturing, distribution, automotive, and food & beverage facilities. This is a senior‑level field leadership role where you’ll drive execution on technically demanding builds that require precision, coordination, and strong on‑site command.
You’ll be the boots‑on‑the‑ground leader responsible for safety, sequencing, trade coordination, and overall site performance. You will oversee daily field operations from mobilization through final closeout. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll ensure schedule, quality, and safety targets are achieved while maintaining strong communication with owners, inspectors, and trade partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day site operations on industrial ground‑up and renovation projects
- Develop, manage, and maintain the master schedule in coordination with the Project Manager
- Coordinate subcontractors, field staff, equipment, and site logistics
- Oversee concrete, structural steel, and complex MEPF installations
- Enforce safety programs and ensure full compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Conduct subcontractor meetings and daily planning sessions
- Ensure quality control and adherence to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and agency requirements
- Manage work within active plants or operational campuses when required
- Drive project closeout activities, punch lists, and turnover
- 5‑10+ years of Superintendent experience in industrial construction
- Proven success delivering ground‑up industrial projects (manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or food & beverage)
- Strong working knowledge of concrete, structural steel, and heavy MEPF systems
- Experience building in active or operational facilities preferred
- Ability to lead field teams and subcontractors with authority and professionalism
- Strong scheduling, sequencing, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership presence
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong field experience.
