SMT Operator job at Hum Cap, Inc., Greenville, TX.

The SMT Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the equipment used to create electronic circuits and surface‑mount technology.

• SMT operation and process using various software.
• Verify PCB identification, program name, conveyor width, solder paste, mistake proofing.
• Troubleshoot various pieces of equipment.
• Perform operation, setup, and product changeover.
• Install and repair other electronic components such as resistors and capacitors.
• Perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies.
• Maintain accurate job tracking records.
• Follow manufacturing instructions.
• Apply hands‑on problem solving, reading/preparing work instructions.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance of SMT equipment.
• Occasionally change feeders, splice reels, scan parts.
• Other duties assigned as required.
• Practice 6S.

• Focus on quality control.
• Safety management mindset.
• Dexterity and hand‑eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.
• Ability to identify electronic components, polarities, and location designators.
• Understanding of bill of materials and drawings.
• Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of pick and place automated assembly machines.

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm OR 3:30 pm – 12:00 am.
