The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for work under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non‑routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results. Manager must demonstrate strong leadership and managerial skills to lead several tasks simultaneously to achieve on‑time delivery.
EssentialFunctions
- Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and is responsible for managing two or more of the following activities related to operations: manufacturing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, test, quality, or shipping/receiving/stores.
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including total quality management, manufacturing systems, material management, and process re‑engineering.
- Willingness and ability to work off shifts and overtime to meet business needs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 4 years supervisor/Lead experience with general aviation, military aircraft or aircraft modifications.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Electrical / Structural modifications and assemblies.
- Minimum 2 years experience navigating schematics and maintenance manuals.
- Minimum 2 years experience in depot‑level maintenance and baseline modifications on various airframes.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Active DoD security clearance.
- Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy emphasis on Excel.
- Experience with Manpower Forecasting, BW, T.O’s, TPS, PWA, Engineering Drawings, Planning and Quality Processes.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to coordinate with other functional groups and support organizations.
- Excellent oral, written communication skills.
- Self‑starter and motivated.
