MissionMaintain equipment and processes in compliance with customer and OPmobility requirements
Primary Responsibilities- Start up, shut down, and blow molding machine
- Maintain blow mold machine
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Material Handling System functions
- Troubleshoot process problems and provide documentation of actions performed
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Material handling Preventive Maintenance Orders
- Full understanding of the LOTO concepts, and its application
- Choice of appropriate level of LOTO application
- Able to perform risk analysis before LOTO and work performed inside machines
- Ability to train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices
- Responsible to advise when standard work instructions are not covering a necessary specific activity
- Responsible to check the correct application of LOTO, in line with procedures
- Seek guidance from EHS Specialist for any concerns regarding LOTO
- Special projects as assigned including:
- Optimize processes and implement continuous improvement solutions to reduce scrap, improve efficiency
- Manage downtime events
- Perform daily 5S and housekeeping tasks
- Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
- Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 year Associate’s degree or applied trade apprenticeship preferred
- Working knowledge of blow mold machines and processes
- Technical knowledge and skills consistent with basic maintenance functions
- Technical knowledge on electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with the ability to recognize and manage hazardous energy sources by machine type
