Production Control Manager

We are partnering with a global manufacturing and distribution organization seeking a Production Control Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, and inventory coordination across a high-volume manufacturing operation. This role provides leadership for all production planning and control activities, ensuring manufacturing operations are aligned with customer demand while optimizing resources, inventory, and production schedules. The Production Control Manager will work cross functionally with operations, procurement, engineering, and leadership to improve efficiency, support on time delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is on site in Upstate South Carolina.

• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and internal production targets, adjusting plans as needed to optimize results.
• Partner cross functionally with operations, procurement, engineering, and other departments to ensure materials, labor, and resources are available and allocated appropriately.
• Monitor production performance, analyze operational data, and implement improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and support safety and quality objectives.
• Partner with Procurement to identify material shortages or inventory gaps that could impact production schedules.
• Prepare and present production reports and key performance indicators to senior leadership, highlighting schedule attainment, capacity constraints, and delivery performance.
• Lead and facilitate the Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning (SIOP) process, including Production, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen production planning processes and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the production control team.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a Production Control Manager or similar production planning leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• 1 to 3 years of experience leading or supervising small teams.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
