Responsibilities

Glen Oaks Hospital (a UHS facility):
Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in Greenville, Texas. Our staff includes psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists who work as a team to support patients with mental health and addiction care. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has led in mental health and chemical dependency care.

Position Summary: Responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls. Coordinates all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission. Verify insurance, triage patients, complete assessments, staff clinically as needed, enter calls and admissions in computer, and complete admission paperwork with patient. Communicate effectively with unit staff and assist the patient to the unit.

Pre-certification with payor source. Follow hospital policies and procedures regarding admissions.

Hours: 7pm to 7am, three nights per week, rotating weekends

Requirements:

Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program;
Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
