POSITION SUMMARY
The goal of the Cath Lab Nurse is to improve health outcomes and patient experience. The Cath Lab Nurse will provide excellent care throughout the patient Cardiac Rehab experience. Shifts vary and some call is required.

BSN or equal experience If not Cardiac Cath experience, extensive ER or ICU experience required.

Two years cardiac cath experience JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
1. Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
2. Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct.
3. Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs.
4. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program.
5. Complies with all HIPAA standards.
6. Follows all approved protocols to provide safe and effective patient care
7. Maintains high-level knowledge of appropriate patient care for all procedures performed in cath lab
8. Promotes a positive work environment that enhances professional respect, growth, creativity and active participation in achieving of the mission and vision of the organization.
9. Identifies risk areas of resource utilization and implements strategies to improve efficient and appropriate utilization of resources
10. Supports and practices the highest level infection control standards
11. Demonstrates effective knowledge and appropriate use of all cath lab equipment
12. Supports a team environment and works well with others in the department
13. Provides patient teaching at an appropriate level for patient's comprehension; ensures readiness for discharge from cath lab
14. Performs other duties as assigned by manager
