Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Position Summary:
The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
Hours:
3pm to 11pm, 5 shifts per week, rotating weekends.
Requirements:
- Education:
Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing. - Experience:
Minimum one (1) year as a LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred. - Licensure:
Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
