We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Business Development Representative to join our team and drive our growth strategy.
As a Business Development Representative, you will qualify leads, identify sales opportunities, and leverage exploratory conversations to pitch the value of our solutions. You will book product demos to help drive business through detailed discovery calls. This role is 100% outbound‑focused, with a strong emphasis on prospecting and lead generation to expand our existing client base.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, email/Linked In outreach, networking, and occasional in‑person visits
- Craft and deliver compelling presentations and social media content to highlight the value and benefits of Confluent solutions
- Initiate and qualify early‑stage conversations and book introductory and discovery meetings
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, meetings, and deals in the CRM.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs tied to outreach volume, conversations, meetings booked, and qualified targets added.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking functions.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging and improve conversion
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably in the technology industry with a focus on new business development.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company goals and objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability and ability to think outside the box when addressing potential obstacles
- A team‑centric attitude with a desire to collaborate, support, and share learnings with peers
- Coachability with a desire to learn and grow from feedback
- Solid understanding of software development, cloud solutions, AI and other relevant technologies.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented individual with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, and experience.
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred.
