For over 26 years, we have served as a trusted advisor to organizations across the Southeast, providing the infrastructure and security necessary for them to excel in a digital-first economy. As we expand, we are seeking two sophisticated sales professionals to join our business development team.
TheOpportunity
This is a consultative, high-level sales role. At Acumen IT, our Regional Sales Executives act as strategic advisors who identify operational risks and present comprehensive technology roadmaps. You will be responsible for building long-term relationships with C-suite executives and business owners, moving beyond a vendor relationship to become a vital strategic partner.
Primary Responsibilities- Business Development:
Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities through strategic networking, professional outreach, and community engagement within the Upstate. - Consultative Discovery:
Conduct thorough assessments of prospect environments to identify critical pain points in cybersecurity, compliance, and cloud infrastructure. - Solution Architecture:
Collaborate with our senior engineering team to present tailored managed services proposals that align with the client’s long-term business goals. - Pipeline Management:
Maintain a disciplined approach to CRM management, ensuring consistent progress toward monthly and annual revenue targets.
We are seeking disciplined sales professionals who possess a high degree of business acumen and a proven track record in sophisticated B2B environments. Successful candidates in our industry often transition from roles where they have mastered consultative, relationship-based selling and the management of long-term service contracts.
- Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience is required. - Professional Background:
We find that individuals with experience in SaaS, Telecommunications, Document Management, Payroll/HCM, or Commercial Insurance possess the transferable skills necessary to excel in Managed IT Services. We value candidates who understand the nuances of recurring revenue and "Service-as-a-Product" models. - Consultative Approach: A demonstrated ability to move beyond transactional selling to identify organizational risks, compliance requirements, and operational inefficiencies.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers and navigate complex organizational hierarchies.
