Essential qualifications and experience for the Room Leader role:

• Relevant childcare qualification, minimum Level 3, and experience leading in an Early Years setting.
• Level 2 qualifications in English including functional skills if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

As a Nursery Room Leader you will:

• Manage the day‑to‑day running of the nursery room.
• Lead and develop the nursery team to uphold Kido’s core values and culture.
• Ensure high standards of child welfare and safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate records and support the partnership with parents.

• Salary range: £28,000 to £33,000.
• Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after 5 years of service.

All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Certain spent convictions and cautions are protected and are not subject to disclosure. Shortlisted candidates will provide details of all unspent convictions, and the application will be checked through the Disclosure & Barring Service. Successful candidates will undergo enhanced DBS and barred lists checks.
