Salary: $140,000 to $150,000, Bonus eligible
A rapidly growing global energy resources company entering an exciting time for the business is seeking to hire a key Accounting Manager to join the Corporate Controllers team to manage the close for various legal entities, reviewing internal and external financial reports, and providing an analysis of business drivers and their impact on the financial statements. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will liaise closely with all key global business partners.

Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager will include managing the accounting close, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, and preparing consolidated and standalone financial statements and trial balances, variance and trend analysis, and investigating fluctuations.
- Leading global consolidation activities across legal entities, including intercompany eliminations and non-controlling interest accounting.
- Preparing and reviewing cash flow statements and supporting schedules, ensuring consistency with underlying balance sheet movements.
- Researching, documenting and applying accounting conclusions, drafting technical memos, and partnering with auditors on accounting positions as needed.
- Maintaining the internal control environment by standardizing close processes, strengthening documentation, and ensuring controls.
- Partnering with Treasury, FP&A, Tax, Merchant Product Control and Asset Controllers to ensure accurate transaction recording, accruals, and resolution of accounting matters.
- Preparing materials and supporting analysis for Audit Committee meetings and senior management.
- Leading external audits, including foreign statutory audits, managing requests, and resolving issues.
- Supporting finance systems and process improvement initiatives, including automation enhancements, and reporting improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
- Six plus years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and corporate experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and working knowledge of international statutory reporting relevant to foreign jurisdictions.
- Experience with accounting and to asset acquisitions, business combinations, and divestitures helpful.
- Demonstrated ownership of close deliverables, complex consolidations, intercompany activity, and non-controlling interests.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong systems aptitude; SAP experience is a significant plus.
