Job Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team in our Family Office. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of accounting experience and will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.
Hybrid Work ArrangementHybrid role (4 days in office / 1 day remote)
Responsibilities- Assist in preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards
- Assist in the preparation of management reports
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations
- Process journal entries and ensure accurate recording of transactions
- Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
- Review expense reports and vendor invoices
- Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Prepare and post‑closing entries
- Ensure timely completion of all closing activities
- Coordinate with other family office members to gather necessary information
- Assist with external audits
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Support tax preparation and planning activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes
- Implement best practices and internal controls
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA candidate or pursuing CPA certification (preferred)
- 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with month‑end close processes
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, Archway, or similar)
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Team player with ability to work independently
