VP of Payroll

Our client is a top Fintech Firm in Manhattan. This role is hybrid, 4x on site.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Develop and execute the global payroll strategy, operating model, and governance framework
• Establish and maintain payroll governance, internal controls, and risk management practices to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Treasury on payroll funding, banking activities, and cash flow planning.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting to support payroll accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage year-end payroll reporting and filings across U.S. and international jurisdictions.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll matters.
• Drive payroll system enhancements, integrations, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global payroll team, promoting accountability, accuracy, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Payroll experience
• Experience overseeing a team

The annual base salary range is $175,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
