Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration
Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is looking for a full-time experienced Front Desk Coordinator to join our Greenwich Care Center. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut with over 30 Care Centers and still growing. - Provide an exceptional patient experience by scheduling office visits, confirming appointments, updating patient insurance and demographic information, answering incoming calls, and documenting using Epic EMR.
- Ensure attention to detail by properly composing, processing, and following up on electronic phone messages and alerts.
- Act as a team player by using EMR to answer quick administrative questions.
- Demonstrate versatility by processing insurance authorizations when required.
- Monitor the schedule of assigned providers, noting and correcting errors as appropriate.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer‑service skills; 3+ years of professional experience.
- Prior front‑desk experience in a medical setting.
- Experience with an EMR system is ideal;
Epic experience is a plus.

From $18.00 per hour, depending on experience

- High school diploma or GED (Required).
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office, front office, or scheduling preferred; 3 years of Microsoft Office experience (Required);
Customer Service experience 3 years (Required); EMR systems 1 year (Preferred).
- Entry level (1‑4 years experience) or meet basic requirements with need for additional supervision.
- Exceed 4 years experience but still meet only basic requirements with need for additional supervision.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
- Basic arithmetic skills for calculations, balancing, and reconciling figures.
- Operational skill with office equipment.
- Paperwork filing skill.
- Phone triage skill.
- Written and verbal communication skill.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, e‑mail, Internet, and PowerPoint.
- File organization skill.
- Flexibility to respond to changing demands.
- Task organization and prioritization skill.
