Position: Full-Time Live-In Housekeeper
Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 6:30am-7:00/7:30pm (flexibility required for occasional evenings, date nights, and entertaining)
Compensation: $40-$42 per hour, DOE (negotiable for the right candidate) + PTO, sick days, health stipend, and discretionary end-of-year bonus
Start Date: As soon as the right fit is identifiedt
Relocation: NO - Family is looking for someone who is currently in the CT or NY area
Travel: Required - Summer residence in the Hamptons
About the Family

A warm, welcoming, and structured family of three in Greenwich, CT is seeking a seasoned, highly professional Live-In Housekeeper to join their home long-term. This is a comfortable and kind household that runs smoothly and is well organized. The principals value structure, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail.

Their goal is to find a true professional who can "keep the train running smoothly and efficiently" and maintain their home to the high standards they are accustomed to.

The family consists of two principals and their school-aged daughter. They also have 3 beloved dogs.

The home is well maintained and supported by additional staff, including a Family Assistant (currently being hired) and seasonal/part-time cleaning help. The Housekeeper will work collaboratively with other staff and may oversee or help train part-time cleaning support as needed.

• Children: 1 - a nine year old (G)
• Home Size: Approx. 14,000K Sq. Ft. (not all rooms are high-traffic rooms and will not need cleaning daily, or even weekly).
• Pets: 3 very friendly dogs; A Maltipoo, a Pomeranian, and an Australian Shephard
• Household Staff: Family is hiring a full-time Family Assistant

The Role

This is a dynamic and refined role for a candidate who understands both "back of house" and "front of house" responsibilities and intuitively knows where to be and when. The family is generally informal in their day-to-day life, but they enjoy elevated service such as dinner brought to the table and more formal entertaining when hosting guests.

The ideal candidate is confident in both casual and formal settings, and takes immense pride in their work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Household Management & Cleaning

• Daily upkeep of high-traffic areas; maintaining all common areas in meticulous, guest-ready condition
• Deep cleaning (with seasonal/event support from cleaning service as needed)
• Changing beds (1-2 times per week; linens are sent out for professional cleaning and pressing)
• Managing and organizing linen closets for the primary bedroom and child's bedroom
• Kitchen maintenance and after-meal cleanup; ensuring the kitchen remains spotless at all times
• Rotating food in refrigerator and fruit bowls
• Managing trash, recycling, and breaking down boxes
• Watering indoor and outdoor plants; refreshing floral arrangements
• Patio upkeep (seasonal)
• Assisting with holiday décor and cleanup
• Room turnover and turndown service

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

• Full laundry responsibilities with expert knowledge of high-end fabrics and materials
• Skilled garment care including steaming and ironing (school uniforms require regular steaming)
• Determining what should be laundered in-house vs. sent to dry cleaning
• Managing dry cleaning
• Wardrobe organization and closet management
• Tailoring and sewing skills are a significant plus (hemming, small repairs, minor alterations)
• Assistance with light ladies' maid duties (wardrobe assistance, personal item organization, occasional hair/wardrobe support)

Kitchen & Service

• Preparing and serving coffee and light breakfast each morning
• Assisting with meal prep (washing/chopping vegetables, plating, serving)
