We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of active construction and project operations. This role will work closely with clients, general contractors, office staff, fabrication teams, and field crews to help ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in both office and field environments and will have strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform field measurements and site verifications for upcoming and active projects.
- Attend project meetings with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Assist with preparing estimates for new projects, change orders, and project revisions.
- Coordinate material procurement and schedule deliveries to project sites.
- Support project scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day project coordination.
- Maintain accurate project records, including estimates, change orders, schedules, and other project documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively between office staff, the fabrication shop, and field crews.
- Assist the Project Manager with tracking project progress, resolving issues, and supporting timely project completion.
- Help coordinate project requirements, materials, manpower, and field activities as needed.
- Previous experience in construction project coordination, project management, estimating, or a related role is preferred.
- Ability to perform field measurements and verify project conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Experience assisting with estimates, change orders, or project revisions is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable communicating with clients, general contractors, vendors, fabrication teams, and field personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other project management or construction-related software is a plus.
