Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Director of Client Relations, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

You have been in the position where you sat across from a family and understood the truthful answer was no. Delivering it had consequences: a lost commission, a disappointed manager, or a missed target. In this role, that candor defines the work.

Alpha operates a private K-12 school network where students complete academics in roughly two hours each day and dedicate the remainder to developing practical skills. The test results validate the approach. This position is on-site at a single campus, five days per week, in one of 12 U.S. markets:
Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA;
Austin, TX;
Atlanta, GA;
Boca Raton, FL;
Boston, MA;
Chicago, IL;
Greenwich, CT;
Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT. You will select your preferred market during the application process.

Families invest a premium tuition, conduct thorough research, and pose challenging questions about academic rigor and expectations within the first ten minutes. The model succeeds only when enrolled families genuinely embrace it. In a small cohort, a single misaligned family alters the environment for all.

You will manage the complete admissions process for one campus. From initial inquiry through fit assessment, campus tour, shadow day, and enrollment decision, you are the sole point of contact for each family—from their first question to their child's first day. A typical week includes: responding to every inquiry within four hours, guiding a doubtful father through the afternoon program block, coordinating a shadow day, maintaining detailed records in Hub Spot, and directly informing a family that their child would thrive better elsewhere.

You will simultaneously manage 20 or more families progressing through different stages. You form the fit determination, and you communicate the outcome, face-to-face, in your own voice.

The network is expanding, and the operational playbook develops alongside it. Those who establish success in a market create the FAQs, define the fit criteria, and set the standards inherited by subsequent campuses. They become the trusted name that affluent families in their city recommend to one another.

This is an on-site position at one campus, in person, every day. Professionals who excel in this role typically come from: admissions and enrollment backgrounds at selective institutions; high-value consumer sales where the client was a family, such as luxury real estate agents, private wealth advisors, or premium practice owners; and hospitality or private service operations managing white-glove experiences for discerning clients.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for every prospective family, from initial contact through onboarding, conducting a thorough needs assessment before any presentation.
  • Simultaneously managing 20 or more active families, responding promptly to every inquiry and reviewing applications on a daily basis.
  • Conducting campus tours, open houses, informational sessions, and shadow days that clearly communicate who the program serves and who it does not.
  • Determining the admission or decline recommendation and personally delivering the decision to each family.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in Hub Spot and the student information system (SIS) following every interaction, leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for preparation and summaries, and providing weekly pipeline updates to leadership.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Prioritizing enrollment numbers over fit. A family who enrolls and departs represents a worse outcome than a family declined at the outset.
  • Having your fit assessment overridden to preserve a relationship or meet a yield metric.
  • Following rigid scripts, executing call blitzes, or offering discount-driven closings.
  • Transferring families through multiple coordinators, or awaiting committee approval for standard communications.
  • Conducting superficial facility tours that avoid challenging questions.

  • You have independently managed a client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial inquiry through commitment decision.
