Day to Day
  • Implement a variety of instructional strategies during community-based learning.
  • Follow the direction of the Special Education Teacher regarding the implementation of program accommodations and their development in the workplace.
  • Assist in the development of community-based job sites in collaboration with community contacts, site supervisors, and under the supervision of the Transition Specialist and Special Education Teacher.
  • Communicate student progress with teachers, BCBA and related service providers.
Qualifications
  • Must have earned an associate degree or higher OR achieve a passing score on the ETS Para Pathways Assessment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in school or educational settings preferred.
  • Skilled in data collection practices.
  • Experience working with teens or adults with autism or emotional/behavioral challenges and their families preferred.
