Overview
Seeking a senior investment banker with 15+ years of investment banking experience for a full-time in-person position at a highly-successful boutique investment banking firm in expansion mode in Greenwich, Connecticut. The firm specializes in asset finance for large corporate clients ($40 billion+ in annual revenue) and has recently expanded into renewable energy. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 15-years of customer facing investment banking experience with significant demonstratable success in “rain making” origination role.
It is extremely unusual for a boutique investment banking firm to provide capital raising services to large corporates. This firm has developed proprietary approaches in financing transactions that are unique and compelling to certain large issuers.
The candidate will have in-depth understanding of capital raising/capital markets, leasing and US GAAP and IFRS accounting. He/she will have significant experience in mentoring and supervising subordinates and will be responsible for running the firm when the Managing Director is out of office for an extended period. The candidate will enjoy travelling to domestic and international clients with a high degree of frequency;
our existing/target clients are in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Ideally, the individual will bring significant relationships with treasury departments of multiple Fortune Global 500 companies.
The ideal candidate will have significant senior-level experience from an investment bank, but FP&A or IR experience would also be valuable. He/she must enjoy client sales/customer development and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
The candidate will be responsible for originating $10 million+ in annual fee revenue, supported by other team members. Must be hard-working, self-motivated, eager to engage with customers and ready for a high-pressure environment, as the firm structures and places financing for high-value assets for ultra-large corporate clients (no individual or retail customers). The firm also has an asset management business with a focus on renewable fuels.
The firm brings the following platform to the table: proprietary structuring technology, 200+ investor relationships, 20+ Fortune Global 500 customer relationships, organic deal flow, broker-dealer and investment advisor licenses. 100% in-office.
Salary and BenefitsA base salary, an annual discretionary bonus (based on performance), and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, retirement plan, Greenwich Water Club membership and a paid 3-month sabbatical every 6 years, is offered.
FINRA LicensesThe position requires appropriate FINRA licenses, such as Series 7, Series 79, Series 66, etc. The firm will facilitate obtaining such licenses for candidates that do not possess them. You will obtain these licenses within 120 days.
